Surgicryl PGA 3-0 19 mm 75cm VioletSurgicryl PGA 3-0 is a synthetic, absorbable braided multifilament suture manufactured from polyglycolic acid (PGA). Coated with polycaprolactone and calcium stearate, it is designed to minimise tissue drag and ensure smooth passage through tissue while providing excellent knot security and dependable wound support.
The suture delivers high initial tensile strength that gradually decreases as healing progresses. It is absorbed by hydrolysis with minimal tissue reaction, retaining approximately 50% of its original tensile strength after 21 days and achieving complete absorption within 60–90 days.
