MONOCRYL® Plus Antibacterial Suture is a sterile, synthetic, absorbable monofilament suture designed for soft tissue approximation and ligation where a smooth, low-tissue-reactive suture is required. Manufactured from Poliglecaprone 25 and coated with triclosan, it has been shown in vitro to inhibit bacterial colonisation on the suture surface, helping to reduce the risk of surgical site contamination.
The monofilament construction allows for smooth tissue passage with minimal drag, while providing excellent handling and secure knot performance. MONOCRYL® Plus offers high initial tensile strength with predictable absorption, making it ideal for procedures requiring short-term wound support.
This suture is intended for general soft tissue approximation and ligation but is not indicated for use in cardiovascular, neurological, ophthalmic, or microsurgical procedures.
